About The Position

The position of the Clinical Coordinator (RN) -- Behavioral Health was developed to facilitate the functioning of the clinical staff within the office. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the activities of the clinical support staff in order to enhance information and patient flow within the department as well as ensuring adequate clinical support staff coverage for office hours. The Registered Nurse prescribes and coordinates professional nursing care for assigned patients carrying out these responsibilities independently within the guidelines of accepted nursing practice, medical direction, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards. The RN utilizes the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care. This position also functions as an Office Nurse- RN triaging patient calls, managing prescription refills and coordinating patient care. Other functions may also be included as required by the practice.

Requirements

  • Maintenance of confidential information.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
  • Associates or better in Nursing.
  • At least two years of experience in a medical office setting.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) issued by New Hampshire Board of Nursing verified via Nursys.
  • Basic Life Support Certification - BLS (AHA)
  • New Hampshire or Compact License must be active at time of submission!

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors or better in Nursing.
  • Pediatrics experience.
  • Direct medical office experience, including past clinical staff supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, fellow nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patients' conditions, treatments, and progress. Report any changes or concerns promptly to the appropriate team members.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote overall wellness.
  • Offer emotional support and advocate for patients' rights, ensuring they receive compassionate and respectful care.
  • Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe and ethical work environment.
  • Stay updated on medical advancements, best practices, and industry standards through ongoing professional development activities.
  • Other duties as assigned
