About The Position

This role involves leading the care journey for patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The nurse will implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, adjusting strategies based on real-time observation to ensure high-quality care and optimal outcomes. Key responsibilities include accurately recording, tracking, and communicating changes in patient condition to the interdisciplinary team, and executing physician and advanced practice provider orders while adhering to clinical protocols. The nurse will also act as the primary coordinator for all clinical disciplines to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
• Minimum 2 years level IV NICU experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Implement and continuously monitor individualized patient care plans, adjusting strategies based on real-time observation.
• Accurately record, track, and effectively communicate changes in patient condition and progress to the entire interdisciplinary team.
• Note and carry out physician and advanced practice provider orders, maintaining adherence to clinical protocols.
• Act as the primary coordinator for all clinical disciplines—from physical therapy to social work and pharmacy—to ensure seamless, cohesive, and collaborative patient care.
