Deliver advanced, direct nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in alignment with established NICU policies and clinical protocols. Track, document, and communicate subtle changes in neonatal condition, vital signs, and development to physicians and the care team. Serve as the primary coordinator across neonatologists, specialists, and therapies to carry out complex medical orders and optimize clinical outcomes. Assess post-acute needs and partner with families and the care team to prepare safe, comprehensive discharge plans for delicate infants.
