About The Position

This role involves providing expert, direct nursing care for critically ill newborns in the NICU department of the Women and Infants Tower in Indianapolis, IN. The Registered Nurse will continuously assess, monitor, and interpret complex physiological data, proactively adjusting care plans in real-time to meet the neonate's changing status. The nurse will also serve as the central coordinator for a multidisciplinary team, ensuring a unified approach to healing, and will act as the primary educator and translator for families, coordinating complex discharge planning to transform parents into confident caregivers for their medically fragile infants.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.

Responsibilities
