About The Position
The RN utilizes nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care of pediatric patients from admission to department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in clinical setting, acts as patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
Requirements
- Current state RN license
- Associate’s (ADN) from an accredited nursing school
- BLS Certification (or) obtained within 90 days after hire date
- Current S.T.A.B.L.E. certification OR obtained after 6 months of nursery experience but prior to completing 12 months of nursery experience.
- Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 90 days after hire date.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent NICU experience
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s (BSN) from an accredited nursing school
- NICU certification
- Level 3 NICU experience
Responsibilities
- Utilizes nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care of pediatric patients from admission to department through discharge or transfer.
- Provides expert care and education to patients in clinical setting.
- Acts as patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel.
- Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
- Floats to units based on a rotation with regularly scheduled staff and must be oriented to a minimum of two (2) units.

- $5.00 shift differential
- $3.50 weekend premium
