This posting supports all new grad Registered Nursing positions at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, Virginia. The program offers no separate application and no application deadlines, automatic enrollment for all newly hired graduate nurses, is available at all 12 Sentara hospitals. After orientation, begin your Residency right away with 6-months of hands-on experience alongside trained preceptors in 6 areas: Medical-Surgical, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, Emergency, Operating Room, and Women's Health. Topics covered include career pathing, professional development, leadership, self-care, and stress management. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program
  • Current Virginia RN license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Graduating soon or graduated with less than one year of RN practice

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse.
  • Participate in a 6-month Nurse Residency Program with hands-on experience in Medical-Surgical, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, Emergency, Operating Room, and Women's Health.
  • Engage in topics such as career pathing, professional development, leadership, self-care, and stress management.
  • Work alongside trained preceptors.
