Registered Nurse (RN) - New Graduate - Ortho Trauma
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Ortho Trauma position is located at 10 RT/Ortho Trauma, a 24-bed Orthopedic/Trauma unit specializing in the care of post-surgical patients. The team provides comprehensive inpatient care for a diverse surgical population, utilizing telemetry monitoring and a variety of medication infusions. Nurses on this unit develop and utilize advanced clinical skills in post-operative recovery, including wound and dressing management, chest tube care, enteral feeding tube management, mobility and rehabilitation support, and medication administration. The interdisciplinary care team is comprised of Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and Unit Secretaries (US), all working collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient-centered care in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Requirements
- Less than one year of RN experience
- Graduation from an accredited or approved nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate patient-centered care using the nursing process, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate treatment aligned with clinical standards.
- Apply evidence-based practice and clinical judgment to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and overall experience across the care continuum.
