About The Position

Join us as a Registered Nurse Clinician at our Plaza Neurosurgery Clinic location! This is a Full Time Days position, Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with no nights or weekends. The role involves providing professional nursing care for clinic patients, telephone triage, patient flow management, and coordination of patient care. Responsibilities include scheduling emergent appointments, patient and family education, medication administration via IV access, and other duties as assigned. The nurse will act as a subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation. They will also enter admission orders as directed by the provider and manage expired samples. The position requires the ability to work both autonomously and in a team atmosphere, with excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor. The role may also involve covering Medical Assistant, LPN, or other office duties as needed.

Requirements

  • RN MO and KS required
  • BLS required
  • Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
  • Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
  • Associate Degree
  • Less than 1 year Registered Nurse experience

Nice To Haves

  • Previous neuro surgery exp or neuro ambulatory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
  • Responsible for telephone triage, patient flow, and coordination of patient care.
  • Schedules emergent need patient appointments.
  • Identifies learning needs for patients and families, provide advice and recommendations.
  • Inserts intravenous access with medication administration.
  • Performs duties as assigned based on clinic need.
  • Delegates tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing.
  • Enters admission orders as directed by provider.
  • Responsible for managing expired samples.
  • May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties, LPN job duties, or other office duties as needed.
