About The Position

The incumbent utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, and address the individualized needs of patients within the Neuroendocrine/Pituitary program at the Parnassus Neurosurgery Clinic. This role supports both surgical and non-surgical patients, providing comprehensive care coordination and patient education across the continuum of care. Responsibilities include guiding patients through the surgical pathway, including pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery expectations, as well as ongoing outpatient management for pituitary and neuroendocrine conditions. The RN serves as a key clinical resource for patients and providers, delivering education, triaging clinical concerns, and facilitating timely access to care. The incumbent provides clinical support to neurosurgery and neuro-endocrine physicians and multidisciplinary team members, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. This individual adheres to the policies and procedures of the Neurosurgery Faculty Practice and maintains compliance with all UCSF Ambulatory Services and Medical Center standards related to infection control, safety, and clinical and administrative practices.
