About The Position

UW Medical Center-Northwest's Neuromodulation Clinic is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to join their team. This role supports an innovative program providing Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) services for patients with various mood and psychotic disorders. The position involves providing direct patient care before, during, and after these procedures, including managing patients under general anesthesia and providing procedural support. Requirements

2 years of recent critical care RN work experience
Active ACLS (required by start date)
Active PALS (required by start date)
Active BLS (required by state date)
Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State

Nice To Haves

Perioperative RN work experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to ambulatory behavioral health patients receiving Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) treatment under general anesthesia.
Provide nursing care to ambulatory behavioral health patients receiving Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), which is a non-invasive procedure.
Perform pre-procedure intake assessments, including assessments of the patient's physical and psychological states.
Conduct pre-procedure calls to outpatients.
Conduct care coordination ahead of inpatient ECT appointments.
Monitor and provide care for patients during all phases of procedural care.
Help manage emergencies and complications while patients are sedated.
Provide phase I and phase II anesthesia support.
Recover patients post-treatment, prepare patients for discharge, and educate patients regarding home care.
Conduct telephone triage, Epic in-basket management, care coordination, and referral review.
Promote efficient patient flow through accurate record keeping.
