This role will begin on the 8G Neuro Trauma unit and transition to the Neurosurgery Unit, 8D, following the opening of the Kamin Tower in January 2027. The Kamin Tower is a state-of-the-art, 17-story, one-million-square-foot building designed for safety, efficiency, and comfort, featuring rooftop gardens, flexible outdoor spaces, and 636 private patient rooms with advanced technology. About the Units: 8G is a 23-bed progressive care unit specializing in neurologic and neurosurgical patients, managing step-down admissions for stroke and trauma patients from intensive care. Nurses are equipped with NIH Stroke Scale training and ACLS certification, with opportunities for advanced certifications in neuroscience and trauma nursing. 8D is a 17-bed acuity adaptable neurosurgical unit caring for adults with brain tumors, spinal cord injuries, head injuries, and strokes. Patients may have undergone craniotomies, spinal surgeries, or have external ventricular drains. The unit has a fast pace with numerous discharges and admissions daily. Nurses collaborate with world-renowned neurosurgeons employing innovative procedures and treatments.
