Registered Nurse - Neuro Cardiac Unit
About The Position
The Neuro Cardiac unit offers a variety of patient diagnoses including stroke, cardiac, renal, respiratory, and medical-surgical. It also houses Gateway's central telemetry monitoring station. As a designated stroke unit within Deaconess Gateway's Certified Primary Stroke Center, nurses play a vital role in caring for acute stroke patients. The unit also provides experience with telemetry, heart failure, COPD exacerbations, infections, and complex medical conditions. This diverse patient population ensures an engaging daily experience and helps nurses develop a broad skillset. The unit offers a fast-paced environment for continuous learning and skill development.
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or valid compact RN license
Responsibilities
- Care for patients with stroke, cardiac, renal, respiratory, and medical-surgical diagnoses.
- Serve as the home of Gateway's central telemetry monitoring station.
- Provide care for acute stroke patients.
- Gain experience with telemetry, heart failure, COPD exacerbations, infections, and complex medical conditions.
- Deliver exceptional care to complex patients.
