About The Position

Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Neonatal ICU department. This is a full-time, night shift position. Associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through an academic partnership with Wichita State University. Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care, ensuring every action aligns with the highest safety standards and organizational excellence.
• Coordinate a multidisciplinary team of specialists to ensure patient care is seamless, holistic, and focused on the best possible clinical outcomes.
• Monitor and interpret patient conditions in real-time, acting as the vital link between the patient and the medical team through proactive communication and precise documentation.
• Advocate for the patient’s journey by initiating and managing comprehensive discharge plans, ensuring a safe and successful transition from hospital to home.
