About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse Navigator in Pediatric Cardiology at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, Texas. The position is full-time with a rotating schedule. The nurse will be responsible for delivering hands-on patient care, monitoring patient progress, coordinating care between doctors, specialists, and families, and assisting with discharge planning to ensure a safe transition home.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

Deliver hands-on patient care and execute medical orders following established safety protocols.
Implement care plans, monitor patient progress, and communicate status changes promptly.
Connect doctors, specialists, and families to ensure seamless, well-managed care.
Partner with the healthcare team to prepare patients for a safe transition home.
