About The Position

The Registered Nurse Navigator – Breast Radiation Oncology serves as a dedicated guide and advocate for patients throughout their cancer care journey. This role coordinates and supports patient care across the continuum of treatment, providing education, symptom management, care coordination, and emotional support. Working collaboratively with radiation oncologists, medical oncology teams, surgeons, and other interdisciplinary caregivers, the RN Navigator helps ensure timely, patient-centered, and evidence-based care while promoting positive outcomes and an exceptional patient experience. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association, or the ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire (additional certifications may be required based on department needs).
  • Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex patient care, provide patient education, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Strong communication, organization, and advocacy skills with a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Oncology nursing experience, preferably in breast cancer care, radiation oncology, infusion services, or nurse navigation.
  • Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) or Nurse Navigator Certification (ONN-CG), or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience with care coordination, patient navigation, survivorship planning, or case management.
  • Knowledge of cancer treatment modalities, including radiation oncology and supportive care services.
