About The Position

Sentara Virginia Beach is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg Telemetry Neuro/Stroke Unit, 2 East. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on Weekend Nights (Friday-Sunday). The primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and managing the overall care of patients. The unit fosters exceptional teamwork and collaboration to ensure the best patient care. The 2 East Neuro unit is a 21-bed med/surg/stroke unit that offers a prime learning environment and the opportunity to become a NIHSS (Stroke Certified Nurse).

Requirements

ADN required
Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing
BLS within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

BSN or higher preferred
Opportunity to become a NIHSS (Stroke Certified Nurse)
