About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Mother Baby department at Ascension Providence in Waco, TX. The position is PRN and involves night shifts. The nurse will implement and monitor patient care plans, serve as a primary coordinator for patient care across disciplines, note and carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
Mother Baby or Post Partum experience needed

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
