Registered (RN) - MICU
About The Position
We are a 30-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) caring for adult and geriatric medical and surgical critical care patients. Our patient population requires specialized care, including ventilators, central lines, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), mass blood transfusions, and Targeted Temperature Management (TTM). The MICU also staffs and trains the facility's rapid response team. We have an active Unit Practice Council (UPC) focused on improving unit policies, procedures, workflow, and patient outcomes. Numerous opportunities for professional development and educational advancement in critical care are provided. Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
- Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills.
- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
