About The Position
This is a High Acuity Med Surge floor / Respiratory Care Unit. The unit has 20 beds with a nurse to patient ratio of 1-5, sometimes 6. Travelers may be requested to float to Concord Hospital-Laconia or Concord Hospital-Franklin. Common patient diagnoses include PNA, COPD exacerbation, GI Bleed, osteomyelitis, diabetic foot infections, hepatic encephalopathy, renal failure, bowel obstruction, end of life care, and wounds.
Requirements
- Up to date resume that includes 2+ years of experience in Med/Surg Telemetry.
- Skills Checklist matching specialty.
- Drivers licenses with address that matches demographics.
- Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of submission.
- NURSYS Report.
- Licenses verification with all active RN licenses.
- BLS required.
- NHISS needed prior to start.
- ACLS required.
Nice To Haves
- Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required.
- Will accept 1st time travelers.
Responsibilities
- Provide high acuity medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care.
- Manage patient care for common diagnoses including PNA, COPD exacerbation, GI Bleed, osteomyelitis, diabetic foot infections, hepatic encephalopathy, renal failure, bowel obstruction, end of life care, and wounds.
- Float to other units or facilities as requested.
- Complete required compliance items by Wednesday before the start date.
- Take a Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding with a preferred score of 80%.
