About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join their MedSurg Float Pool. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient nursing care. The RN will ensure continuity of care between shifts by providing direct care and supervising nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff. Responsibilities also include patient and family teaching and acting as a patient advocate in alignment with the organization's mission.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS & ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) or more years of previous nursing experience.
- Previous telemetry experience.
- PALS certification. (For charge trained nurses.)
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit.
- Ensures continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care.
- Supervises the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs and supportive staff members.
- Participates in patient and family teaching.
- Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization’s mission.
