About The Position

This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in Medical Weight Management, supporting patient care within Aurora Medical Group (AMG), part of Advocate Health. The role involves educating patients on weight management strategies, providing ongoing support, and assisting in clinic visits and educational classes. The nurse will foster a positive, motivating, and patient-centered environment. AMG is a large, integrated health system with over 350 locations across Illinois and Wisconsin, offering a wide range of specialties and services.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Partner with medical weight management provider to support patient care
• Educate patients on weight management strategies and treatment plans
• Provide ongoing support throughout patients’ weight loss journeys
• Assist in both clinic visits and scheduled educational classes
• Foster a positive, motivating, and patient-centered environment
• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
• Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum
