About The Position

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Medical/Telemetry unit. This is a full-time position on the day shift. The role involves managing a diverse adult patient population with complex medical conditions in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The position requires adherence to standards of professional performance such as ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health. The RN must possess clinical knowledge and skills to meet specific clinical area standards. Primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overall patient care responsibility. The organization emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, quality, service, and integrity.

Requirements

  • RN License valid to work in the State of Virginia
  • BLS and NIHSS within 90 days of hire
  • Previous RN experience preferred
