About The Position

UW Medical Center-Northwest - Medical Telemetry has an outstanding opportunity for a Rotating Shift (days and nights) Registered Nurse. This is a regular position with a 90.00% FTE, working 36 hours per week on a 3x12 shift schedule. The role involves a mix of rotating day and night shifts, with some weekend work required. The Medical Telemetry Unit is a general medical unit with a full cardiac telemetry and rehabilitation program, featuring 36 beds and consistently maintaining 1:4 and 1:5 nurse to patient ratios. RNs work in close partnership with physicians and certified nursing assistants. The unit offers training opportunities, including stroke and advanced EKG training. This position welcomes both new and experienced RNs, with training provided for those transitioning into telemetry care. It is part of a close-knit inpatient hospital unit where contributions are recognized.

Requirements

Active BLS
Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
Equivalent education or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license or certification.

Responsibilities

Provide evidence-based nursing services to an acutely ill patient population, including post-stroke patients
Monitor heart rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment
