RN / Registered Nurse - ICU at UW Medical Center-Northwest
About The Position
UW Medical Center-Northwest's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Night Shift position. This is a regular, full-time position (90.00% FTE) working 36 hours per week on a 3x12 shift schedule, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The ICU is a general mixed medical unit providing care for patients with cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and post-surgical needs in 15 individual rooms. The unit maintains a consistent 1:2 nurse to patient ratio and fosters close collaboration with intensivists, physicians, and certified nursing assistants. Requirements
- 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience, or equivalent nursing experience on a high acuity critical care unit
- BLS
- ACLS
- Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
- Equivalent education or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license or certification.

Responsibilities
- Work alongside physicians, intensivists, social workers, and care managers
- Follow evidence-based nursing practices
- Provide bedside care for critically ill patients, including those admitted for septic shock, post-cardiac arrest, acute respiratory failure, and strokes
- Monitor and administer medications and IVs
- Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect
