About The Position

Texas Health Frisco is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to join their Medical/Telemetry (Cardiac) Unit. This is a full-time day position with rotating weekends and holidays required. The unit is a 16-bed newer unit looking to grow a strong team. The patient population includes medical patients (GI, GU, diabetes, pneumonia, cellulitis, CHF, COPD, wounds) who require cardiac monitoring, as well as some surgical patients. The role involves telemetry monitoring and management of cardiac drips, with patient-to-nurse ratios of 3:1 to 4:1. The unit offers self-scheduling for flexibility and work-life balance, and fosters a team-focused culture with opportunities to help build a new unit.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually within 90 Days

1 Year Telemetry/Cardiac experience in hospital setting
