Our 4N department is a dynamic 44-bed medical-surgical unit where nurses manage a 6:1 patient ratio. Our patient population includes a blend of surgical and medical cases, with a special emphasis on renal care. The team here is known for its strong sense of collaboration, making 4N a welcoming and supportive environment, especially for new graduates eager to build their skills. Team members gain experience with a wide range of interventions, including various lines, chest tubes, peritoneal dialysis, and telemetry patients. The Infusions Clinic operates Monday through Thursday as an outpatient center dedicated exclusively to infusion services, staffed solely by registered nurses. Our Dialysis Unit provides inpatient hemodialysis and is open 24 hours a day, six days a week, with on-call coverage each Sunday. Care is delivered by registered nurses with specialized expertise in dialysis.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience preferred
  • ASLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
  • Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
  • Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
  • Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient
