About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to support a fast-paced Medical/Surgical unit in the Bronx . This 40-hour-per-week assignment is ideal for a clinical professional with strong technical expertise, particularly in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation . The RN will play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in IV insertion and phlebotomy
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing conscious sedation
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program
• Active New York State RN License Primary Source Verification via NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required

Nice To Haves

• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Preferred (required for certain locations)

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for Medical/Surgical patients.
• Clinical Skills: Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy to support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Conscious Sedation: Monitor and manage patients receiving conscious sedation, ensuring adherence to safety and monitoring protocols.
• Collaboration: Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and positive patient outcomes.
• Documentation & Compliance: Accurately document care in electronic health records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and primary source verification requirements.
