About The Position

The 6 Round Wing is an adult Medical Surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6, caring for individuals with complex conditions across various systems including respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal, neurological, psychiatric, cardiac, and infectious diseases. This role involves applying the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and continuum of care planning, effective communication with the healthcare team, and collaboration in setting and evaluating patient goals. The position also emphasizes professional growth through continuous learning.

Requirements

At least 1 year of RN experience
Nursing degree
State or Compact License (TN license within 60 days of getting TN address even if compact license)
Relevant Work Experience
Graduate of an approved discipline specific program

Responsibilities

Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.

Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
