About The Position

As a Registered Nurse (RN) joining our team, you’ll support those in our facilities who are interfacing and providing care to our patients and community members to positively impact our mission of making communities healthier ®. More about our team Our Vascular unit specializes in caring for patients with complex vascular and circulatory conditions, as well as general medical and post‑surgical needs. Patients on this unit may include those with peripheral vascular disease, arterial and venous disorders, wound complications, post‑operative vascular care, and chronic conditions requiring ongoing monitoring and education. Nurses work closely with vascular surgeons, hospitalists, wound care specialists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Nurses on this unit are provided the opportunity to earn dialysis certification as part of their professional development.

Requirements

  • Current Alabama or compact state RN license
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS are required within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Two-three years of experience preferred, new grads welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
