About The Position

The Medical-Surgical Unit at the Center for Behavioral Health and Learning at UW Medical Center-Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse. This unit supports a wide range of individuals, including general acute care patients, telemetry monitoring patients, and patients with multiple behavioral health comorbidities. The unit has 50 beds split between two floors, and this position will specifically work on the second floor, which has 25 beds. Our patients receive holistic treatment, addressing their physical, medical, and mental health needs. This position is a great opportunity for both new and experienced RNs to work at a state-of-the-art facility.

Requirements

  • Active BLS
  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical-surgical care to patients, including patients with psychiatric comorbidities
  • Monitor vital signs using telemetry equipment
  • Ensure patient safety protocols are followed, including restraint protocols
  • Administer oral and injectable medications
  • Assess and manage pain
  • Provide education and discharge instructions to patients and their families
  • Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect

Benefits

  • BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour
  • Certification premium - $1.25/hour
  • Night premium - $5.00/hour
  • Weekend premium - $4.00/hour
  • Sunday night premium - $3.00/hour
