About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lake Pointe in Rowlett, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for their 3 North Med Surg Telemetry unit. This is a remote telemetry unit that primarily cares for a medical-surgical population. The unit fosters an environment of inclusivity, positivity, and diversity with a strong focus on quality patient care and teamwork. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Lake Pointe is a community-based hospital offering a wide range of specialties and outpatient services. The hospital is licensed for 176 beds and includes multiple medical-surgical units, an intensive care unit, Labor & Delivery, and various specialized services. It holds designations such as Level III Trauma, Chest Pain Accreditation, Primary Stroke Accreditation, and Maternal and Level III NICU. The nursing team is on a journey towards Pathways to Excellence and will seek Magnet designation.

Requirements

• Graduation from an Accredited Program.
• RN License.
• Minimum of 2 years of true, recent Medical, Surgical, Telemetry RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to a medical, surgical, and telemetry population.
• Work within a patient ratio of 1:4-5.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment.
