About The Position

Texas Health Dallas is seeking a Full Time Days Registered Nurse (RN) for their Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This role is crucial for providing care to critically ill patients within a new medical complex devoted to intensive care. The unit benefits from an intensivist program offering 24/7 coverage and provides continuous education for commonly used devices. Opportunities exist for involvement in unit and hospital affairs through the Unit Based Council. The position offers self-scheduling and is located at 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231.

Requirements

Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) Required
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support --Prior to providing Independent patient care and maintained quarterly
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support--within 90 days of hire
CPI-Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 60 days of hire is required
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program Required
Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Req

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
One or more years of ICU experience strongly preferred; would consider Emergency, PACU or PCU
