We have a rewarding opportunity available on our Medical ICU at University Hospital! Our nurses in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) specialize in providing highly skilled, complex care to patients with a wide array of medical conditions. MICU is a very fast-paced unit that engages critical thinking and multidisciplinary collaboration. This position currently qualifies for a NEW hourly wage differential in addition to standard shift and holiday differentials. More details about this differential will be provided during the interview process. Nursing skills gained on this unit: Prioritization of care, Multitasking, Foundational nursing skills, Care of complex patients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience.
  • Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
