We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical or Emergency Department settings. First-time travelers may be considered based on interview performance and overall fit. Travelers are required to reside more than 100 miles from the facility. This role involves managing care for patients in Medical-Surgical, Intermediate level, and outpatient infusion settings, including patients with diagnoses such as Stroke, Myocardial Infarction (MI), and Trauma. The typical patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4-6 in the Medical-Surgical unit. Support on the unit includes CNA support (1-2 techs for every 6-12 patients), a Charge Nurse available 24/7, and an IV/VAT Team resource. Phlebotomy services are available during business hours with an on-call service afterward. Charting is done utilizing EPIC. Orientation includes first-day training with the manager, online Epic/Ilearn training, and one shift with a preceptor. Scheduling is self-scheduled with a rotating weekend requirement and assigned holidays. Staff will remain on duty during condition snow events and will receive compensation for all hours worked. RNs are to wear navy blue scrubs.
