About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Stepdown Intermediate Care department at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh, WI. The position is full-time, working nights. The nurse will deliver personalized, evidence-based nursing care to ensure patient safety and optimal health outcomes. This includes assessing and tracking patient condition changes, communicating critical updates to the multidisciplinary team, orchestrating care efforts as a liaison between physicians and staff, executing physician and nursing orders, and designing proactive discharge plans in collaboration with care teams and families.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Orchestrate cross-functional care efforts by serving as the primary liaison between physicians, specialists, and support staff to drive a holistic treatment strategy.
Execute complex physician and nursing orders with precision, turning medical strategies into daily, compassionate bedside actions.
Design proactive discharge plans in collaboration with care teams and families to empower smooth transitions home and reduce hospital readmissions.
