This is a night shift Registered Nurse role on our vibrant Med/Surg Unit, perfect for nurses who thrive in a dynamic hospital setting and want to broaden their expertise while making a meaningful impact in our community. Our busy Medical/Surgical Unit at Porter Medical Center is welcoming night shift RNs who are passionate about exceptional patient care and eager to expand their clinical experience. Although we’re nestled in the picturesque New England town of Middlebury, VT, Porter offers high-acuity, fast-paced hospital nursing that keeps your skills sharp and your nights meaningful. Our Med/Surg unit cares for medical, surgical, chronic, and progressive care patients, giving you the opportunity to practice a broad range of nursing skills. We’re also home to a top-tier Birthing Center, averaging nearly 400 births each year, and our close-knit team environment means you’ll always feel supported, appreciated, and empowered to grow.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont
- BLS required
- ACLS required for specific departments
- At least 1 year of hospital RN experience
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care on the Medical/Surgical Unit.
- Practice a broad range of nursing skills caring for medical, surgical, chronic, and progressive care patients.
- Work night shifts in a dynamic hospital setting.
