About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Med/Surg for a 13-week travel assignment in St Johnsbury, VT. This is primarily an adult medical/surgical unit. Occasional pediatric patients may be admitted; this is not a dedicated pediatric unit. Pediatric-only RNs will not be considered. Due to our rural location, personal transportation is necessary. No public transportation is available, and the nearest major airport is approximately two hours away.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of recent acute care RN experience required
  • Must have current Vermont RN license or Compact Multi-State RN License
  • ACLS (American Heart Association) required
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  • Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
  • Must be able to work independently/hit the ground running
  • Able to adapt to stressful situations quickly and effectively
  • Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Flu vaccination is required with no exceptions.

Nice To Haves

  • Charge RN experience preferred.
  • opportunity to serve as Charge RN when needed
  • May be asked to act as a Preceptor
  • Meditech experience preferred

  • assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while meeting the physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and developmental needs of patients across the lifespan
  • Primarily adult Med/Surg patients with occasional pediatric patients
  • collaborate closely with providers, nursing leadership, and support staff to ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
