About The Position

This is a full-time night shift position for a Registered Nurse on the Medical Surgical 3 Unit (3 West). The Registered Nurse works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Director, responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of total nursing care for assigned patients. The role involves utilizing communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to create patient care plans that consider physiological, psychosocial, and cultural diversity. The RN is also responsible for supervising and delegating tasks to non-professional personnel to ensure optimal patient care. Competence in addressing age-related needs of specific patient populations is essential. The position operates under the direction of leadership and a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive clinical care in accordance with Riverside Health System's standards and goals.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) or licensed in a compact state Upon Hire
CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Program (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire

2 years of experience may be eligible for a $10,000 bonus (for Full Time RNs)
Full Time NEW GRAD RNs eligible for a $6,000 bonus

Accurately completes all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
Delegates and prioritizes tasks appropriately to facilitate quality patient care and service excellence to meet the patient's care needs.
