About The Position

Become part of Essentia’s accomplished team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota. These cities are at the heart of the Brainerd Lakes Area, one of the state’s top vacation destinations. Our Medical/Surgical Unit cares for Orthopedic Post-Operative Patients (including total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements), Fracture and Repair Cases, Post-Surgical Patients (following back and neck surgeries, urological procedures, abdominal procedures, and ENT surgeries), and Medical Overflow Patients. This position will work 60 hours per pay period, every third weekend, with rotating 12-hour shifts (Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Overnight Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Requirements

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month.

Responsibilities

• Organize and deliver comprehensive care by managing all phases of the patient care process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Act as a team leader by delegating care responsibilities to nursing staff based on their licensure, training, and role specifications.
• Play a crucial role in advancing the facility’s and Essentia’s mission and goals, making a meaningful impact on the community we serve.
• Adhere to the standards set by the Joint Commission and other relevant federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
