About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Spine Center, specializing in Post-Surgical care. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on trauma, neurosurgery, and orthopedic cases. The unit consists of 27 beds and primarily cares for patients undergoing post-operative procedures related to spinal surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgeries, and various trauma-related injuries.

Requirements

• Current and valid RN license in Kansas or a multistate license.
• Active AHA BLS certification required at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a Med/Surg or similar setting.
• ADN or BSN degree is required.
• Proof of immunity for Hep B, MMR, and Varicella or documented vaccination series completion.
• TDaP and Influenza vaccinations or acceptable exemption during flu season.
• Current TB documentation is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients post-surgery in a collaborative team environment.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery processes.
• Document patient care activities in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Assist with additional post-surgical procedures as needed.
