Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ASN, or BSN)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia
  • Current CPR certification
  • A patient-centered, compassionate approach while maintaining an orderly environment of care
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills and clear and consistent communication with nursing administration
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support team success
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing patient and unit needs
  • Commitment to professionalism, safety, high-quality outcomes and completing assigned responsibilities in established time frames
  • A strong commitment to professional ethics and strict confidentiality when handling patients’ and families’ personal, medical, financial, and employment information obtained within the hospital.

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS and PALS preferred
  • At least 1 year of acute care experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate care for medical-surgical patients while ensuring safe, compassionate, high-quality treatment from admission to discharge.
  • Work closely with physicians and care teams to develop individualized care plans aligned with hospital policies and clinical standards.
  • Deliver high-quality direct and indirect patient care.
  • Assess patients’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial condition appropriately.
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in status or treatment response.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, Nurse Managers, and interdisciplinary teams and communicate critical updates, diagnostic results, and patient concerns in real time.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
  • Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Support a safe, clean, and organized care environment.
  • Assist with unit needs, including supporting and guiding LPNs, CNAs, and new nursing staff.
  • Perform Patient Care Technician and Unit Coordinator functions as needed.
  • Uphold hospital policies, safety standards, and service excellence expectations.
