About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical department at Seton Northwest in Austin, TX. The position is full-time and involves night shifts. The nurse will be responsible for implementing and tracking patient care plans, monitoring patient conditions, coordinating patient care, executing physician and nursing orders, and managing patient discharge.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Implement and track customized, evidence-based patient care plans.
• Record and communicate real-time patient status to the care team.
• Serve as the primary coordinator to ensure seamless, holistic patient care.
• Precisely carry out physician and nursing orders with expert judgment.
• Partner with the health-care team to manage successful patient transitions.
