Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry (Nights), Windsor, VT
About The Position
Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry (Nights) for a 13-week travel assignment in Windsor, VT. This contract position involves providing direct patient care, coordinating nursing services, and participating in patient and family education. The role requires working cooperatively with other healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of nursing practice. The assignment is for 12-hour night shifts, with a 36-hour guarantee, and includes requirements for working every other weekend and holidays as needed. The facility uses Cerner EMR, and the nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1 to 4/5.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent Med Surg & Rehab experience
- CHARGE RN EXPERIENCE is required
- Previous Travel experience (at least 3 months) is required
- Vermont RN License or Compact is required
- Active American Heart Association ACLS is required
- Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association during employment
- Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
- Perm address must be included in traveler profile
- Any/All RTO must be included in profile. ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION.
- Drug screen and background check (facility required)
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing / BSN is preferred
- May float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg and to any unit within scope of practice
Responsibilities
- Coordinates total nursing care for patients
- Participates in patient and family teaching
- Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting
- May be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse
