About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Tele for an exciting Contract opportunity in Neptune, NJ. This role involves evaluating patients, assisting physicians with patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting individualized nursing care plans. The nurse will identify patient needs, establish priorities, coordinate and manage care for assigned patients, perform therapeutic nursing interventions, monitor patient outcomes, and document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and professional nursing standards. The position also advocates for evidence-based nursing practice and quality patient outcomes, collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, provides patient-centered care, and floats to other units as required. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Compact RN License required.
  • BLS (American Heart Association) Certification required.
  • ACLS Certification required.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification required.
  • Telemetry Certification required.
  • CEU Contact Stroke Certification (4 Hours) required.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit within a major acute care hospital required.
  • Strong Medical-Surgical and Telemetry background.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities
