About The Position

The Med/Surg/Tele Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the Med/Surg/Tele units, ensuring the delivery of safe, high‑quality patient care. This role oversees daily clinical operations, staffing, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives while fostering a culture of service excellence and professional development. The MST Manager partners closely with Clinical Supervisors, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow, maintain labor efficiency, and uphold standards in documentation, patient safety, and core quality measures. They play a key role in staff recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and competency validation, ensuring a skilled and engaged workforce capable of meeting evolving unit needs. With strong critical‑thinking skills and adaptability, the MST Manager provides effective leadership during complex clinical situations, supports policy development, and maintains a high level of clinical expertise in telemetry, emergency response, and evidence‑based practice.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current California RN license.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Basic EKG/tele interpretation experience required OR completing a Basic EKG class within six months of employment.
  • Two (2) years of recent department specific experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in related field required.

Nice To Haves

  • Charge nurse, supervisory expertise in department specific preferred.
  • Master's degree from an accredited College or University in related field preferred.
