Requirements
- Current Texas RN license or RN Compact licensure and current CPR certification required.
- ALCS Certification required or must be obtained within first year of employment.
- OB - NRP required or obtained within first year
- Med/Surg/ICU - PALS required or obtained within first year.
- ED - TNCC, ENPC or PALS required or obtained within first year.
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory and/or accreditation standards.
Nice To Haves
- Six months nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care in the acute care departments.
- Communicates with physicians, nurses and other staff about patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient’s condition.
- Is cross trained to perform general nursing duties in other departments and may be asked to do any reasonable job duty within scope of practice.
