Registered Nurse (RN) – Med / Surg Observation
About The Position
Sentara is currently hiring an RN to work at Sentara Leigh Hospital located in Norfolk on our Observation Unit. This position offers a generous sign-on bonus of up to 20K and a moving allowance for qualified candidates. New grads are also welcome with a $7500 sign-on bonus. This is a full-time, nightshift position, approximately 7pm to 7am. As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you will have the opportunity to encourage patients on their recovery journey and have a long-term impact in a short amount of time. There are many different specialties where you can perform and grow your nursing skills, with promotional opportunities into leadership or to advance your level of care in a variety of settings. The primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients.
Requirements
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- RN-Diploma, ASN, BSN or MSN from an accredited school
