About The Position

Essentia Health in Fargo is a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Our Neuro unit sees stroke patients, post-op back and neck surgeries, patients needing a neurological work-up for dizziness, confusion, and weakness. Medical and Surgical patients include COPD, abdominal pain/GI bleeds, hernia repairs, ENT procedures, and post-op urological patients. This position is responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. The nurse contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

Requirements

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month

Responsibilities
