About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Medical/Surgical nursing to join our Neuro & Behavioral Health unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care to medical/surgical patients, including those with neurological conditions and a history of behavioral health disorders. This is a 31-bed unit specializing in acute and subacute care for stroke patients, transient ischemic attacks, and medically unstable psychiatric illnesses, including substance detox and acute neurological conditions.
Requirements
- ADN or BSN required.
- Minimum 1 year of acute care medical/surgical nursing experience required.
- AHA BLS required.
- Valid KS license or Multistate license required.
- No occurrences allowed.
- Experience with Epic preferred (testing option available).
- Proof of immunity for Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella, or vaccination series completion.
- TDaP and Influenza vaccinations required during flu season.
- TB documentation needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care to medical/surgical patients, including those with neurological conditions and a history of behavioral health disorders.
- Provide acute and subacute care for stroke patients, transient ischemic attacks, and medically unstable psychiatric illnesses, including substance detox and acute neurological conditions.
- Float to other post-surgical and med-surg inpatient floors as needed.
