About The Position

This is a full-time Registered Nurse position on nights (7pm-7am) for the Med Surg Medical 1 (4 West) unit. The RN is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of total nursing care for assigned patients. This role involves utilizing communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to create individualized care plans, considering physiological, psychosocial, and cultural diversity. The RN will also supervise and delegate tasks to non-professional personnel to ensure optimal patient care and must demonstrate competence in addressing age-related needs of specific patient populations. The position works under the direction of leadership and a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive services in accordance with Riverside Health System's standards and goals.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) or licensed in a compact state Upon Hire
CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire

2 years of experience (for $7,000 bonus eligibility)
High School Diploma or GED, HS Diploma/GED only required if Nursing Diploma Graduate (Required)

Accurately completes all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
Delegates and prioritizes tasks appropriately to facilitate quality patient care and service excellence to meet the patient's care needs.
